I joined a community services program called "ServeUp/Habitat Katrina" during my spring break this year, in which I helped to paint and renovate houses for poor people in New Orleans whose houses had been devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The moment when I saw these people's grateful faces after we as a group finished our task was absolutely melting and beyond description. Though exhausted and sun-burnt, I LOVED doing anything I could for the society.
