Couchsurfing gives an opportunity to get familiar with the culture of people from deferment nationalities and this is not just about place to stay, its community of people who want to explore who are not feeling comfortable just staying at their hometown

But I guess there are few things: -reached over 100km/h on skis -been at first ever music festival in Saudi Arabia -did a train ride from Shanghai to Hong Kong (around 17 hours) -celebrated Vietnamese new year with a local family that don't speak English -dated local Thai girl that didn't speak English -run 2 half-marathons -founded an English speaking club in my hometown
