I'm a huge advocate for using couchsurfing as a tool to explore places you travel to. I hate the capitalistic tourism industry that thrives of exotifying places and its inhabitants. I think it's important to get an understanding of places you travel to through the local perspective. And I thank CS for allowing this to happen! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I couchsurfed in DC, NYC, Boston, Amsterdam, and Spain.

I camped in the desert of Wadi Rum in Jordan with some of my friends. Some of the most remarkable things we did were: Trekking through a Mars-Esque landscape on the back of a camel, speeding through the desert in a jeep, and watching the Milky Way and thousands of stars sparkle right in the clear sky. An incredible experience! but this is only one of the many amazing things i've encountered in my life!
