greyhound bus stop... safe at night?

Hi guys, I am planning to stay in Knysna before going to cape town and the idea is to take a night bus with greyhound. The problem is that the departing time in Knysna is at 1:45 AM... So, it is safe to be there waiting for the bus? there is a restaurant, coffee place, bar or anything else where we can wait without problems?

Not safe anywhere in SA at that time...not standing around....maybe in a locked car it would be fine to wait for the bus.

I've done it multiple times, its fine. There is absolutely no one around at that time at the bus stop in Knysna. Keep in mind that the media and nils like the one above spread this idea that South Africa is an incredibly dangerous country; but in reality if you stay out of dangerous areas you are very safe most of the time.

I live in knysna and less than a km from the stations. It’s fairly safe. There’s also often a security company driving around. I walked a guest to the Toyota station around 11pm, last night, and walked back home just fine. However , I would advise that you always arrange a pick up at night.
