Post em Malibu, California, United States

Hi everyone, I am from Brazil (Santos, one of the best beaches for longboarders). I have been living in Madison-WI for a year and that is why I really need to surf lol. I will be in LA for a week (June 26th - July 3rd) and was thinking to head to Malibu for 1 or 2 days.
I have all camping gear (I will spend one-week camping/rock climbing in Yosemite a week prior to LA) and could use some camping recommendations. Finally, which would be a good idea: drive there and sleep in the car, take a bus and get a camping site,... I am trying to cut off expenses (a cheap hostel +-$30 d be ok).

*PS: would love to have a buddy to surf with/show me some good spots
