Dear Couchsurfers, Because of a friend I met in Germany I became a fan of The Gambia. We founded the NGO Heart4Gambia a couple of weeks ago. We will show and help villagers how to preserve fruits in a solar dehydrator and in solar oven. I will bring some tools to drill boreholes, to operate a well with solar panels, to farm bamboo for making needed tools - even build houses, to cook jam & chutney, to learn how to cook in the solar oven, to create a new value adding chain in The Gambia. So I bought 2 cars and a and the tools I will need, I am looking for friends who like to drive with me from Frankfurt to Banjul - about 6000 km only.

Also I need hosts for one night on my way south.

Please tell what you think, any recommendation, any support is very welcome.

Our possible travel partner found this org started by a tourist from UK to get veterinary care for street cats and dogs, if we can and get to understand customs formalities an we finally go on January or February we might also bri g veterinary supplies, that is what they need the most

I might also recommend 1 or 2 real couchsurfers in Morocco.

If u get tired and have desire to rest from your adventure for a week you might be hosted by us in Tenerife, there are direct flights from Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakesh, Banjul, Dakar, also the capital of Mali and Mauritania with Binter Canarias, sadly not ship or ferry to connect us to Africa, lack of desire from Moroccan government...

I got also other recommendations but I still must check myself if good ones or not so I don't tell u for now. But if u speak Spanish, Mandiga (or ur friend), or French I can give u the number of a cultural cooperative which organized 2 months of Musa Senegal a cultural event here in our city.
