I invite you to a hike between Suffern and Tuxedo, crossing Harriman State Park. It's a 15.9km / 9.8 mi hike, between two train stations. It's a moderate hike but with a little bit a elevation in the first part of the trail, so bring your hiking shoes! We will meet at HOBOKEN TERMINAL at 10 am and take the train that leaves at 10:24 (Main-Bergen County #1713) for SUFFERN. We will arrive at Suffern at 11:20 WE WILL MEET AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE PLATFORM for the train (yet to be known, so pay attention in the station for when the platform number will be announced). Due to construction on the rail, we will take the replacement bus from TUXEDO at 6:36 pm. You can buy the tickets in advance on the NJ Transit app, or in the train station on the machines. (22$) Bring a picnic (for yourself or to share) and water to hydrate! We will sing songs and quote Lord of the Rings on the way (not mandatory). WARNING 1: Keep in mind that this is not a flat, soft walk. It is absolutely doable by an average person, but we still need to climb up a bit, especially at the beginning.
