Sobre

Ever wondered what Ramadan is all about? Do you have questions you’d love to ask practicing Muslims? Here’s your chance! Join Couchsurfers who live in Dubai, as well as traveling members, for a beautiful evening of sharing and connection over an ‘Iftar’ potluck. This is a Potluck event — which means everyone brings a dish, snacks, or drinks to share with the group. ‘Iftar’ is the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. The fast is broken at the time of the call to prayer (Adhan/Azaan) for the evening prayer (Maghrib). It’s a special and meaningful moment — and you’re warmly welcome to experience it with us. *** What to bring *** Food and drinks to share. If you have a mat or foldable chairs, feel free to bring them along. Garbage bags, disposable plates/glasses are helpful too — and of course, bring your beautiful Couchsurfing spirit and good mood! For your convenience, we will have a trolley available to help move boxes, food, and other items from the main gate to our final picnic spot. (message us in comments) Location: Al Barsha Pond Park << PLEASE READ BELOW CAREFULLY >> Meeting Point: Gate No. 4 – Al Barsha Pond Park Location link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ewWXNxuh2YAcpGLT8 We will meet at Gate No. 4 at 5:00 PM and after a 10-minute wait, we will move together to the final spot. Final Spot Exact Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/vi5zbCDLySXK8WiU9 Click this link to get a map of the park which marks the final spot: https://beeimg.com/images/q58534589364.jpg Would you like to volunteer and help out with something? If YES, please send a direct message to either myself or Jack and we’ll happily find a small task for you. Thank you in advance — many hands make light work! Please note that we may not be able to reply to all messages during or shortly before the event (even though we will try our best!). So please read the location and meeting point details carefully and save the location map and important information offline, just in case you don’t have mobile data on the day. Disclaimer: PHOTOS / VIDEOS - We love capturing moments of our Couchsurfing memories together! Photos and short videos may be shared on social media and community platforms. If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, just let the organizers or photographers know in advance and avoid group shots — we will absolutely respect your wishes. Looking forward to sharing food, stories, cultures, and a beautiful sunset together 🌙✨ See you there! Rana, Jack & Nayeem
