Hi! We’re Alicia and Daniel, a young married couple from Romania. ❤️ I’m a medical student, and he is a university teaching assistant. We’re both naturally curious people and we genuinely enjoy getting to know others — especially people who have different experiences, backgrounds and ways of looking at life. We love interesting conversations, thoughtful debates and discovering ideas that are different from our own. We don’t always have to agree — actually, we quite enjoy a good debate when it comes with curiosity and respect. One of our favorite things about meeting people is discovering different cultures, traditions, values and ways of thinking, and sometimes having our own perspective challenged along the way. We’re trying to travel more while staying on a student budget, so Couchsurfing feels like a wonderful way to make that possible. But for us, it’s definitely not just about having a place to stay. We’re here because we genuinely enjoy the human side of traveling — meeting people, sharing stories, learning from each other and hopefully making some real friendships along the way. We also love hosting people when we can. We enjoy having someone new around, showing them a little bit of our life in Romania, sharing a meal, going for a walk, exploring together or simply having a long conversation about whatever happens to come up. Outside of university and traveling, we enjoy spending time in nature, walking around new places, discovering local food and hidden corners, and of course, animals. We’re big animal lovers and have experience taking care of both cats and dogs. We’re clean, respectful, non-smokers and easygoing. We appreciate people who are curious, open-minded and willing to step outside their own bubble for a while.
