Laughing is a good therapy. Open-minded and always learning.. Let's walk, hike, go to live music, dance, play board games, improvise together... I cook Mozambican food as well :) I love the beaches here in Mozambique.. my favourite are Ponta do Ouro, Tofo, Vilankulos, Chidenguele, Calanga, Inhaca, and Santa Maria.. People here are very friendly, so you won't regret staying here :) This is who I am.

Bonjour 😊 My name is Diana, I am from Mozambique and I will be moving to Lille to start my Master 1 in Customer Experience (Expérience Client) at ISTC. I have a background in Marketing and professional experience in customer relations, retail management and communication. I love meeting new people, discovering cultures and sharing experiences. I am a positive, respectful and open-minded person. I enjoy dancing (African dance, salsa, bachata and kizomba), travelling, learning languages, fashion, creativity and meaningful conversations. I am coming to Lille with the desire to integrate into French culture, improve my French and build new friendships. I would be happy to exchange stories, share my culture from Mozambique and discover the local lifestyle. I believe Couchsurfing is not only about finding a place to stay, but about creating human connections.

I'm happiest around good conversations, wild places, and people curious about the world. I enjoy sharing stories over dinner, cooking, a hike to a good viewpoint, or just watching the sunset after a long day. A few years ago I quit a comfortable job to hitchhike and hike from Europe to Asia, living most of my time with locals and ethnic minorities. It reminded me that people are much kinder than the news suggests, and that strangers become friends faster than you'd expect. Since then I've kept exploring differently: I work in international development, designing and managing climate resilience projects, mostly in Africa. Right now I'm based in Mozambique. The work keeps putting me in places well off the tourist track, which suits me fine. I still travel whenever I can, for slow trips, long drives, mountains, local food, places with a story rather than a checklist. As a guest: respectful, tidy, independent, happy to cook or do dishes. As a host: always up for a meal, a hike, or a drink with whoever knocks.
