About Me Hi! I’m Iskander Alee, a journalist, media consultant, and passionate traveller currently based in Karachi, Pakistan. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work and travel across the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East. Every journey has reinforced one belief: the true spirit of a place is found in the people who call it home. I’m deeply interested in meaningful conversations, culture, history, photography, local cuisine, and exploring cities on foot. I also enjoy discussing travel, mysticism, meditation, consciousness, mind science, and the different ways people see the world. I believe every person has a story worth hearing, and every meeting is an opportunity to learn. Whether it’s sharing a coffee, lunch, dinner, or simply taking a walk through a new neighbourhood, I enjoy connecting with open-minded people who appreciate genuine cultural exchange and authentic friendships. Friends describe me as respectful, easygoing, curious, and a good listener. I value kindness, honesty, and positive energy, and I always respect my hosts, guests, and local customs. I’m here not just to visit places, but to create unforgettable memories, meaningful friendships, and stories that last a lifetime. Life is short—let’s collect stories, not just passport stamps. Looking forward to meeting amazing people from around the world.!

Hi, I’m Salman—a supply chain professional from Karachi, Pakistan, working with an international plastic color manufacturing company. I’ve built my career in supply chain and procurement, but beyond my professional life, I’m someone who finds true joy in connecting with people, sharing stories, and learning from different cultures. I’m often described as friendly, approachable, and always ready to help. Whether it’s offering travel tips, sharing a meal, or simply having a good conversation, I genuinely enjoy making others feel welcome and at ease. I believe that kindness, respect, and a good sense of humor go a long way in building meaningful connections. I’m fascinated by the diversity of the world—its people, languages, traditions, and ways of life. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places or engaging in thoughtful conversations with people from different backgrounds. My face tends to give away every emotion, and more often than not, you’ll find me smiling or laughing—because I truly believe that smiles are universal and always free. Raised in a culture where hospitality is a way of life, I carry those values with me wherever I go. Whether I’m hosting or traveling, I aim to be respectful, curious, and open-hearted. I find joy in every new connection. I believe life is richer when shared, and Couchsurfing is a beautiful way to do just that. My Couchsurfing Philosophy I believe the world becomes more beautiful when we open our hearts and homes to one another. Couchsurfing is a chance to connect beyond borders—to share stories, laughter, and a little piece of our cultures. Whether I’m hosting or being hosted, I cherish the opportunity to meet kind souls, exchange ideas, and create memories that last far beyond the journey.

Hi! I’m Hassan from Pakistan. I’m a friendly, easygoing and respectful person who loves traveling, exploring new places and meeting people from different cultures.
I'm always curious about the world and the amazing people who live in it. I love exploring new places, learning about different cultures, traditions‚ trying new food, and discovering hidden gems wherever I go. Traveling for me isn’t just about sightseeing it’s about connecting, sharing, and growing together through these experiences that we get to make on our journeys.
Fully vaccinated. 2 shots plus booster. I love people, coffee, animals, nature, people, sincerity, honesty, cultures, people, cuisines, I try to live a simplistic ecological lifestyle. I would like to learn more about ecological living from people experienced in it. I dislike hypocrisy, elitism, double standards and irresponsible behaviour for example 2 hour goodbyes. My Hosting Philosophy and Recent Lessons in Patience: I host travelers out of a genuine love for humanity. At nearly 60, managing a heart condition and arthritis, I live a simple, quiet life. I spend my own resources—paying for transport, buying cakes, chocolates, and meals, and taking guests for sightseeing—because I want everyone to feel like family. I provided a clean big size well furnished room with it’s own bathroom and toilet and wardrobe area in a safe, respectable and honorable environment, in one of the best locality of the city, and took good care of guests providing everything they asked for as much as I could from my own resources without expecting anything in return. However, I have recently learned that not every guest seeks a cultural exchange; some seek a level of control or perfection that is difficult to provide. I have been criticized for the simple house rules in my profile, such as being careful with water and electricity. As I am currently unemployed, these resources are precious. I believe being responsible is a virtue; I do not understand why being responsible in a country like Pakistan is judged as a flaw. In a recent stay, I was met with constant criticism of our laws (PTA registration), traffic, and even a local salesgirl for not being 'predictive' enough of a guest's needs. I have also learned that my natural 'survival tempo'—the fast pace at which I walk and talk—can be a source of extreme stress for some. I was told by a guest that my personality was 'impossible' and no one could live with me, yet when I politely asked for a specific reason to improve, I was met only with scoffs, silence, and anger. Even after apologizing a hundred times and changing my stride to please the guest, the frustration remained. And it's not as if she had to run and pant to keep up with me! I was just a few steps ahead and i slowed down when she pointed it out to me but her anger had already triggered and i was making jokes, talked on different topics, smiled and laughed, to cool her down. I must add here, this fast tempo is common in Pakistan. Go to any busy photocopy shop and see how they work or bun kebab shop, etc. It's a long story why we have this kind of tempo which comes naturally to us, but i immediately changed in whatever she wanted me to change in but yes sometimes we can make mistakes, like one time i talked fast with a shopkeeper and that was too much for her, i mean i cannot even write here the temper that started because of that even though i apologized many times. At one point, I was even told a very confusing and hurtful thing: that I had somehow taken the 'goodness' from inside the guest and replaced it with my own 'badness.' I am not as intelligent as some, so I do not know how such an exchange is possible, but I continued to apologize and offer kindness. Her exact words: "When i came, i was a good person and you were a bad person. Now you have taken out the goodness from inside me and put it in yourself and taken the badness from inside you and put it in me, so now i have become a bad person because of you". It is deeply hurtful to offer a luxurious, big, well-furnished room with a private bathroom, only to be met with repeated snapping. When a guest mentioned having no home or family, I offered my own, saying 'I am your family, my home is your home,' only to be refuted and met with anger. I have spent hours in the heat assisting with SIM registrations, taking guests to markets for the best fabrics, and even offering my own clothes—yet sometimes these gestures are met with rudeness. I am a person of truth, not diplomacy. I provide a safe, respectable, and honorable environment. If you seek a professional hotel or a host you can control, my home is not for you. But if you seek a host who gives his heart, you are welcome. I wish those with very specific standards peace on their journey.
I am an IT professional with a dream to travel around the world with locals so that I can explore beautiful places easily :) More over, I’m very friendly and easy to go person always try to make people laugh 😊

CURRENT MISSION "Passport full of stamps and visas" A young adult, who loves to meet and interact with new people and learn from experiences and mistakes to be a better human. I enjoy a laugh, a drink, or a spontaneous adventure. Little crazy, happy most of the time. Love exploring cities by walk, preferably late in the night. I prefer traveling solo as it gives me a chance to meet incredible souls around the world sharing the same wave length. I have major interest in photography and architecture. Prefer outdoor scenic spaces rather than fancy indoor ones.
