Hey there! I’m Gaïlane, but feel free to call me Gaïo! I’m 24 years old and I’ll be traveling through Southeast Asia starting this December 2025 — I plan to spend all of 2026 exploring the region (Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc.) What matters most to me when I travel is meeting new people and trying local food — the more authentic, the better! 🍱 I’m passionate about Chinese culture and I’m working towards becoming fluent in Mandarin. So if you speak Mandarin, I’d love to connect! 👋🏼 I’m also into making travel videos and capturing street portraits — I love telling stories through people and places. I truly believe that traveling is one of the best ways to understand the world and the people in it. 🌎
Hello fellow travellers! This is your bard and your Dr. CB! Welcome wilcomen to my README.tl;dr! Cheers! "I went on Couchsurfing on a beautiful day of July 13 2023 - the day when I, for the first time, met my ex-colleague who'd been working under me in Binance and whose face I had not known before that time, also my ex broke up with me on that exact same day and plus, Binance no longer wanted me on that same fateful day. So at last, I was feeling as free as the way which the winds blow. One day at a time. I told myself to go out, and venture beyonds lands, cultures and time and to NEVER forget the persons I would encounter." That was what I wrote before this BIG UPDATE: - As of now, I'm 31 years old, have been travelling for almost 2 years, after having worked since the age of 18 and four years most recently worked with numbers. Currently, living in Hanoï and looking for some execution while travelling slowly and steady. - But I've been a huge fan of travelling since the beginning of time. In fact, before exploiting my youth with economics, I used to work as a freelance adventurous tour guide back in my hometown, which means I did all the cayonning, ziplining, long and moutainous biking, dirt-road zeep and sort of was a part of a company which killed two British Olympian Swimmers ( yeah, they didn't follow the safety rules and got drown in a lake). I was part of a local cooking class as a supervisor and a demonstration chef chef who would take travellers where they would love to go, either through walking, taxi cabs or on the back of a motorbike. Yay. FREE of charge, ofc. Just give me time with some beer and I'm already a happy, jolly and fun-to-spend-time-with guide. - I've finally managed to install Wine and been playing Genshin using Linux. What a feat. - I'm blessed with a small bladder, one can of beer gets me in the mood easily. So when you see me downing Jäeger and chain-smoking, that means I've been doing shrooms or baloons, whichever is more convenient. - I'm mostly a smiley, friendly and very eager to get to know our differences. I believe that time is not a straight line and our futures have already started and existed. So, to me, whatever happened, our past, etc, died already. What I have now is one day at a time, life is a vacation, yet we're gonna make the best out of it. - If I could, I would do whatever, seriously. I'm a left-handed boy by birth, a bi-curious by chance and a non-binary by choice. Still, I'm happy whatever is bestowed upon me. When life gives you lemon, make lemonade kinda optimizing motto.

I'm a 51-year-old Belgian/Australian citizen, currently enjoying my pre-retirement by working remotely from Southeast Asia and giving back through charity work. Most of my time is spent volunteering for organizations that support women and children. I've lived in some pretty unique places and recently settled in Danang. I'm open-minded, well-read, and have a solid educational background. I don't smoke or use drugs, and I ask for the same in my space.
I am a Mexican businessman, running a consultancy company called Trade Solutions MX www.tradesolutionsmx.com On the artistic side, I am an experienced guitar player, If you are into music, we have a lot to share.
I try to make the most of life by living in the present—preferably with a slice of pizza in one hand and a steering wheel in the other. Friends who crash at my place tend to feel at home. We laugh, dance, sing, and of course we eat a lot of food. I’m super easy-going and nothing says ‘I appreciate you’ like surprising me with some tacos or sushi!. So, let’s make the most of this wild ride and leave the house once in a while!
