I’m a professional living and working in Houston. I enjoy meeting open minded people from all around the world.
I travel for the moments you can’t plan — a conversation with a stranger that turns into a friendship, a wrong turn that leads somewhere better than where I was headed. I try to say yes to things that scare me a little, whether that’s a food I can’t pronounce or a hike I’m not sure I’m ready for. Always looking for my next travel buddy or local guide to show me something new
CURRENT MISSION To make life-long friends; learn more languages and cultures, go see do things I haven't done before. ABOUT ME Part granola, part groovalicious. Easy-going, laidback but high-energy. Adventurous but shy. Can read all day or party all night. Love nature and the outdoors and love a nightclub too. Love bicycling and motorcycling. Gay with a lot of good straight friends. Love to cook. Love Burning Man, too. Play classical piano and dance disco. Honest, courteous and respectful. Looking to move to Europe sooner than later, hopefully. Artist - abstract mixed media - in collections around the world,.. Used to have a bed & breakfast and met amazing people. Used to own a real estate company. Love design and architecture - had a real estate company and helped people buy/sell homes in Houston for over20 years. Twice Voted #1 broker. Love to immerse myself in the culture of the places I go and to learn the language as well. I am very respectful of my host and host country and guests that I host. Speak and read Japanese. Want to improve my Spanish and Japanese and learn more languages to truly experience other new friends the best I can in their own culture. PHILOSOPHY Why not? Laugh, Learn, Love
✍️📚😄 Hi, I’m Cecilia. I’m originally from China, currently based in the US, working as a language teacher. That basically means I’m fluent in patience, improvisation, and reading between the lines even when there are no lines. 💌📖🌍 When I’m not teaching, I’m traveling, writing, and collecting real first love stories from people around the world. Yes, it’s just as emotional and heartwarming as it sounds. I’m writing a book filled with memories, surprises, and the quiet beauty of how we once loved. ☕🚂🪟 I’m curious, open, and quietly expressive. I love meaningful conversations, but I’m also perfectly content watching the world from a train window. I enjoy photography, swimming, boxing, learning languages, and wandering into places I wasn’t planning to find. 🧳✨🍫 I travel with a suitcase that might be a little too full. Inside are cameras, dreams, and snacks I promised I wouldn’t bring. If we share a space, I will bring calm energy, help with dishes, and never say no to a good story. 🌿🤝☀️ To me, Couchsurfing is about kindness, connection, and finding the poetry in everyday life. Even if it is just over morning tea or a walk through town. 📷🌍✨ You can find me on IG →「@cecilia._.z2」 Small adventures, soft light, and wherever my feet end up.

【I host people who read entire my profile and telling me why you would like to stay/meet with me. If you sent me a couch request without anything above I would decline your request immediately.】 First of all, I have been suspended Couchsurfing for long time for several reasons, however I just restarted. Friendly, not simple, open-minded, often too sensitive and loving solitude. I'm exigent about what I eat and drink. I'm not talkative but when I speak Italian my second personality appears on, this is really interesting how spoken language influences to our personality.

ABOUT ME Am told I am witty, got a sense of humor - and also very passionate. Perhaps I am, perhaps am not - you got to tell me! Am (as we all are) always travelling, if not physically, at the subconscious levels. my blog : http://alismac123.wordpress.com ------------------------------------------------------- since October 2014, volunteer at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. NOTE: I would be happy to give a tour of the Paleontology Exhibit Hall at the HMNS to anyone interested. Since 2008, been volunteering on and off with the Houston chapter of the American Red Cross's Disaster Assistance Team. Actively involved in NASA's Education and Public Outreach to speak abt science, evolution etc to the general public. PHILOSOPHY Respecting others is the only way to respect oneself. Adventures are vital to maximize our potential and increase the chances of discoveries. So lets go on adventures - which could be physical or simply intellectual, introspective and spiritual (in a non-religious, non-denominational way).
High school computer science teacher. Geek. Overly-caffeinated. Too many T-shirts. Got married and really didn't see that one coming at all. Newly married. Happily married. Sleepily married. Wife keeps a separate couchsurfing profile because we tend to attract different kinds of guests. IMPORTANT: To show that you have read my profile, please include the word "turkey" when making a request. We are now (3x) vaccinated and are open for hosting again. CURRENT MISSION: Building a pinball machine. Other useless things at my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/parliboy -------------- WHO I HOST: I am way more likely to accept a multi-night stay than I am a single-night stay. I like “made a new friend” a lot more than “just passing through”. I have more house than I need, and I like sharing it with people who are more awesome than me. (Not that this is a high standard to overcome.) ------------- PEOPLE I’M A GOOD CHOICE FOR: - You're coming in by bus. (But please don't take the last Greyhound of the night -- I do work.) - You're backpacking (I'm close to both interstates). - You want to see the old parts of Houston, the museums, the downtown district, or the music scene. - You are going to some kind of convention at GRB. (10 minutes away by train). - You actually read my profile (especially that really important part about how I know you read my profile) ------------ PEOPLE I’M NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR: - You have a one-night layover from Bush Airport (IAH) and you have an early flight out. You really want someone closer to that part of town. This doesn't make you a bad person. I just don't want you to become a stranded person. - You don't have a car and you want want to see NASA. Especially on a Sunday. If NASA is your most important thing, book a host in between downtown Houston and Galveston. It will make for an easier trip for you. - You need to do anything in an outlying part of Metro Houston. Seriously, you don't want to put yourself through that traffic hell. -------------- GUEST EXPECTATIONS Um, don't eat my food. Don't go into my private space. Don't use the bathroom when people are getting ready for work. Really, just don't be a jerk. Experience has taught me that if I have to give you a lot of rules, couchsurfing may not be right for you. I don't have a ton of guest expectations, outside of "leave space as you found it." ‘ On hanging out: I'm not a mind reader, and I'm really introverted by nature. If you ask me for something or ask me to do something or go somewhere, I'll probably say yes. But you have to do the asking. If I leave you alone during downtime, it's not dismissing you so much as respecting your space and not wishing to impose on you. But you are encouraged to not leave me alone.
CURRENT MISSION meet new people, culture, and places as well as help the others to know my hometown ABOUT ME Easy going, friendly and open-minded person from Monterrey Mexico, proud to share the Mexican culture and traditions anywhere I am in this wonderful and amazing world. I was living and studying in the north of Germany for almost three years, then due my work, I moved to the Caribbean Including Barbados, Dominican Republic, and Trinidad and Tobago. While in Germany I had some Couch Surf experience, and what can I say, it was so awesome, you might know that CS spirit as well :) PHILOSOPHY Each turn we take is another chance And opens up another door It's up to us if we get up and dance Or choose to sit on the floor
IMPORTANT: To show that you read my profile, please include the word “books” in your request. 😁 CURRENT MISSION Be happy, live and let live. Thats the main goal in life and every one of us has their own way to reach it and thats the cool part of this world. I wanna meet new people, their cultures, customs, food, way of thinking and have a good time learning from others. ABOUT ME I’m happily married and we have a kid. 👨👩👧 I'm an easygoing person, funny, I love people, yes, I really do, I love adventures, going to explore the world, finding cool places in a location I've never been before, taste the real original typical food. Travel is my passion, and I don't have to cross to the other side of the world to enjoy it, my country Mexico (as every country does) has a lot to visit and a lot to do. You never know a place perfectly, you can always have something new to discover, so never lose your interest in visiting a place again if that's possible. Regards my life in Houston, I've been here since 2019 and I enjoy many things about this city, especially because my husband, our daughter, and I, usually try new places to eat very often so we have many gastronomic adventures. Houston has a lot to do and many places to eat at :P I was an interpreter for Spanish- English and vice versa from 2017 to 2021. I currently work as a Biology / AP Environmental Science teacher. My English still has to improve, especially the slang and things like that, but of course, being here in Houston, I'm practicing the whole day, and I'll be glad to learn more English and also to show you some Spanish if you want to. I like cooking (I don't do it much because I don't like cleaning hahaha), I'm very good at going to Google and following a recipe lol, but the taste at the end is pretty nice! So if we have a place to cook, I can give you some good Mexican food =D I think that's a good way to know people and cultures. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PEOPLE I’M NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR: - You have a one-night layover from Bush Airport (IAH) and you have an early flight out. You really want someone closer to that part of town. This doesn't make you a bad person. I just don't want you to become a stranded person. - You don't have a car and you want to see NASA.
