I haven't left Australia for over 10 years now. I am trying to get my passport together so I can possibly go and couchsurf with a few of my guests in their home countries. However, that being said,it's hard to leave when I have a dog. Travelling with a dog would be great but Australian Customs make it hard to leave and doubly hard to re-enter Australia. I would love to meet or hear from fellow travellers who might have travelled with their canine friend(s) before! I lived in NZ once upon a time for just over 7 years. I have only ever been back once but of course would love to visit again as i still have many friends there who I'm sure would love to see me again. I spent some time in England once but that was over 40 years ago so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't know anyone there anymore especially since it was pre Facebook. I do have a couple of cousins there whom I could say hello to. Unfortunately I did get in trouble with the police a few years ago and I'm thinking that my Record might stop me from visiting a few places as well which is a bit unfortunate eg. I'd most probably have to swim the Rio Grande to enter the USA. But is the USA a safe place to visit anyway? It's most probably not a politically correct destination to be travelling to anyway. Maybe in time it might once again start attracting the tourists. I would love to go to Burning Man though. It looks like an incredible festival and event to visit and celebrate. Maybe 1 day. India is definitely on the list and Pakistan as well. Both great nations as well as being great cricketers. Afterall Douglas Adams in his " Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy " series did list Cricket as being the greatest game in the universe. And of course South America would be high up on the list especially to sample some uncut lines of coke! I've made over the years a small name for myself in the world of performance poetry both here and in NZ. I've also made a bit of an impact in the craft world of being a recycler of the good old Aussie goonbag. Between goonbags and tetra packaging I've accrued a small fortune in change. Im currently in a relationship with a beautiful woman called Marlie Rae. Hopefully she can accompany me( and possibly my dog: Cloudy) on a round the world adventure. We'll see!
Hellos! I'm a smiling miscreant of sorts, a tinkerer, a curious explorer. CURRENT MISSION Enjoy being me, enjoy meeting others. Balance work, hobbies, travel and remember to do nothing from time to time. PHILOSOPHY We are of stars, a way for the universe to experience itself - it sums to nothing and that's the most magical part of all
Hey! I’m Michele, an American expat living down under in Australia. After spending time hosting travelers up in sunny Darwin, I’m excited to flip the script and hit the road as a surfer! I’ll be traveling from in NT from September before heading to the East Coast for 4 months. I love sharing good food, swapping travel stories, and getting to know local hidden gems over a coffee or a drink. Looking forward to meeting open-minded hosts along the way and sharing a bit of my own journey!
I’d say I’m the typical Darwin type. Laid back, love the outdoors and everything that come with it. Hunting, motorbike riding, fishing, camping and also enjoy a lazy day in the air-con lol.

Profile Update: Hosting in Darwin, Australia since September 24’. Please, read (at least part of) my profile. I like to open my mind hosting/surfing with people from different backgrounds, but I appreciate a minimum intersection between our values/interests, so mentioning it on our request will increase the chances of me to host you. I’m quite busy lately, so won’t have much time to show you around. However, if I host you I’ll do my best to spend at least a meal a day with you so we can get to connect while you’re surfing here! Last minute requests are ok (I don’t plan my travels in advance), but a bit harder for me to coordinate and accept your request quickly. I sometimes don’t open the app for some days, so don’t expect a response immediately. Leave your WhatsApp number if that’s the case. Now, about me… Nature lover, yogi, industrial engineer (this is one of the things I less identify with nowadays), organic gardener, confident, positive, lover, open to whatever the universe offers to me. Vegetarian. Dog person, but also love cats. Star sign Aquarius, so independent and self sufficient most of the time. Traveler (yes!), singer, dancer. Uncomplicated... :) PHILOSOPHY We’re one, and once we realize our connection with everything around us, then the magic starts to happen. I love connecting with people who believe in universal magic! And I love even more to see when people start to find out about that! Nothing is good or bad, nothing is permanent. There is no sense in regretting the past or worrying about what is to come. Plan, but be flexible to change it. The only 2 things we know in life: 1st we’re going to die. 2nd we don’t know when. Enjoy the moment. Today is the best day! Exchanging culture and helping each other is the way to grow as universe inhabitants. We should get more awareness that we’re just part of a living system, interdependent of all living and non-living parts. Love and gratitude!
I am a fun loving, outgoing and an interactive individual and I love make the most of my time and experience and see everything. When i'm at a place i want to absorb the culture, history, art and cuisine. I would to visit the world and meet up people.
UPDATE 2026 Hi, I’m Vivian! It’s been a while since I last used this app (thanks to the pandemic and all that), but now I’m back and excited to connect with people who share the same curiosity and love for culture. I was born in Indonesia but have lived in a few different countries for school and work, which is probably why I never get tired of learning, exploring, and meeting people from all over the world. A little about me: I studied Tourism Management (so yes, travel is basically my excuse and my profession) and I’m now working in the hospitality industry here in Darwin. I usually work 9–5 (sometimes longer — hospitality life!), five days a week. So I’m mostly free on weekends, or sometimes on weekdays after work. Always happy to hang out, share stories, or just enjoy Darwin together.
Hi I am 32 years of age, from Australia and I am currently travelling overland to the UK. I am passionate about nature, first nations justice and music. I play saxophone and guitar and write songs. I LOVE the ocean. I like to take it pretty easy. Am currently in Darwin trying to crew a boat to Indonesia and need somewhere to stay for even a night or two before I find one. I have a tent and am fully set up for camping so a backyard would work fine! I like cups of tea and good tucker. I look forward to meeting you!
ABOUT I am Luisa and 32 years old and since December 2024 I quit my job and travel around the globe.
