In 2018 I came back from 2 years traveling in South America, now Im back in Europa and working again, trying to get used to "normal life". (see my blog at haiko.famrijkers.nl (https://haikorijkers.wordpress.com/)) At home in the Netherlands, i try to get away when I have a few days off, preferably to a new place that is unspoiled by tourists, or, even better, somewhere high in the mountains with my tent. Seeing the sunrise when you get up in the morning from the top... Amazing! In the Netherlands I spend my spare time mostly with playing sports, waterpolo, wakeboarding, surfing, climbing and of course doing stuff with friends. For work I'm often onboard of a ship or working in another city. When I'm off I often try to travel, but when im at home I do like to have some people over and show them around. PHILOSOPHY First I was always disappointed I couldn't see everything in the world. Now I like that there will always be something new to discover.

CURRENT MISSION None, hehe ABOUT ME Usually happy, hounest, trying to be talkative, creative, like to act, don't drink, smoke, eat meat or do any of the 'bad' things. Lover of music, movies and good food. Like to cook for others. PHILOSOPHY i believe that human's original nature is kind and that happiness is right in front of us, only to be obscured by our desires and attachments. Every evil i meet is originally created by myself, by my wrong views, but a right view is possible if i take the effort to examine myself and change myself.

After some years of working and studying abroad I moved back to the Netherlands. Couchsurfing is a great way to keep up the international vibe and meet new interesting people. I am energized, sporty and always in for a good laugh. I'll happily tell you more in person :)

Although I am a very geeky software developer, one of the things I enjoy most is meeting new people. I love being around people, but every now and then I need to go out on my own.

I am one of the lucky guys who was able to travel a lot in my twenties. I have seen so many beautiful places, and I have met so so many wonderful people. I would love to share these stories with other likeminded travellers. Nowadays me and my girlfriend live a very regular life with a serious job and a mortgage... Only travelling for a couple of weeks a year. I miss those times on the road, meeting others. Therefore I would love to host people who are willing to stay for a night or two in Barneveld. Barneveld is not a lively city, but the surroundings are good for cycling and hiking. Public transport is convenient and if you need we can drop you off somewhere closeby. CURRENT MISSION Troubled souls unite, we've got ourselves tonight! ABOUT ME I like to learn and I love meeting new people. I'm open minded, optimistic, and a pretty social person who basically gets on with everybody who is nice. I've travelled to quite a lot of places, and now, with my wife we often travel around together on long trips, when we can get away from work and 'life.' PHILOSOPHY I'm a very open minded person. I like to think I'm a good listener! There's nothing I really enjoy more than travelling around and meeting people from different countries, and learning about different cultures. The things I enjoy most in life are; music (I am a musician), reading, nature, learning about history... the relaxing sound of water at some sort of postcard beach. My main hobby is without a doubt music - I am obsessed with music. I'm reasonably outgoing but my wife is very outgoing, you'll never have a dull moment with her around.

Right now I am keeping myself busy with working and studying in the daily life. Besides that I like to run and do martial art and I'm interested in meeting new people. I live near city centre and i'm always interested in getting a drink and playing a game.
