Ever wondered what your life would be like if you grew up in another culture? We’re all beautiful people sharing this planet so let’s also share some good vibes. I’m from the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago. I’m an electrical engineer that use every bit of my little vacation days to travel to new places each year. I’m easy going and always open to new connections, foods, drinks, and activities. So feel free to message me if we ever happen to be in the same place, same time. Hello from the sunny shores of Cape Coral, Florida, land of manatees, midday thunderstorms, and the eternal question, “Was that an alligator or just a floating log?” My wife Rebekah and I have recently relocated here and are hoping to put down proper roots (preferably not in flood zones). We’ve traded the Arizona saguaros for swaying palms and freshwater canals, and we’re loving every second. Hosting is still very much in our hearts, we miss it terribly and would be delighted to welcome like-minded travellers into our home again soon. About Us: I’m Sam, British-born, dual citizen, and a firm believer that life’s better with a cuppa, a dog at your feet, and a decent story to tell. My wife Rebekah is a fiercely compassionate nurse, serial animal cuddler, and all-round travel partner-in-crime. Together we share our home with three scruffy little dogs and an ever-growing number of owl-themed garden decorations (long story, ask us when you visit). We love connecting with people from all walks of life and sharing a bit of our world, whether that’s tales from the road, local secrets, or just a really good plate of snacks. Our Couchsurfing Philosophy: We host the way we’d want our own mums to be hosted, warmly, generously, and without fuss. It’s not just about a free place to crash (although you’re very welcome to crash), it’s about connection, kindness, and the occasional dad joke. Our Backpacking Highlight: Last year, we took a Eurail adventure through some of Europe’s most magical corners. We danced through Denmark, got lost (on purpose) in the streets of Lisbon, chased ghosts in Krakow, drank our body weight in coffee across Vienna, and ended up in Swindon (which, frankly, deserves its own Netflix drama). Some stops along the way: •Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Prague, Krakow, Budapest •Brasov, Chisinau, Belgrade, Bratislava, Vienna •Postojna, Venice, Seville, Lisbon, Marrakesh •Geneva, Luxembourg, the Black Forest, Bruges, and finally Swindon, England (cue dramatic music) It was unforgettable—and only cemented our love for Couchsurfing and the beautiful spontaneity it brings. A Final Thought: If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in sunrise walks, passionate chats about life and culture, or simply sitting in the garden with a chilled drink and a dog on your lap, we’ll probably get on just fine. Drop us a message if you’re nearby or fancy staying. Our home is open, and we’re always keen for good company.
🏳️🌈 I like to welcome everybody to my place and I like to share "what I have". My place is your place for those traveling in the area. I consider myself very simple but with deep thoughts to share. I am a laid-back person. I like to go out for dinner, movies, traveling. I am not too big into the club scenes but I would stay up late at home with friends just hanging out.
I live in Fort Myers, Florida. In 2015, I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Florida Gulf Coast University. In 2021, I got my Masters in Medical Science degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Have been doing a lot of traveling around the world. Looking to meet new people and make new friends.

CURRENT MISSION to see the world and meet interesting people from every different culture ABOUT ME I have recently started travelling and my goal is to see as many interesting places as I can, while also meeting people from different cultures. I like seeing other peoples outlook on life, and enjoy listening and learning. Life is short, and how can you really know what this life has to offer if you don't go out in search of knowledge. Update: I have now been to 31 countries, many more than once. Not a lot compared to most of you, but my passion for traveling is stronger than ever. I prefer advice from locals as compared to Google recommendations. If I can offer any travel tips in my country, or places I have visited, I will gladly do so, and look forward to what you may have to share with me. **** Please note: I enjoy participating in this community because I have been treated kind by complete strangers in my own travels in various places. If you are someone local who needs a place to stay for a few days, that's not what this is about. This is a forum to meet fellow travelers, share stories, and share hospitality. It is not for taking advantage of people. I don't mean to be negative, but I have recently had to deny several requests that did not align with what the couchsurfing community is about. PHILOSOPHY Life is short and every minute counts. Don't sit back and let life pass you by... Go fast when you need to, and slow down when need-be.... the point is that you don't miss out, and can appreciate everything for what it is. There are ups and downs in life, but find hapiness in the middle taking the good with the bad. Love, Laugh, and Live!

CURRENT MISSION Pay it Forward ABOUT ME So much to see so little time. I am a workaholic. I travel when my boss lets me out of my cage. I am a bicycle enthusiast and runner. Used to be a fair windsurfer and skier. Also interested in nature and environment. PHILOSOPHY When it is darkest you can see the stars.
CURRENT MISSION "Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself"- GBS, so I am continously "creating" self, surroundings, etc ABOUT ME Check out this video: http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2539741 PHILOSOPHY Lin Yutang's book "The Importance of Living" has been a wonderful influence on me and where the concept of "scamp" has entered my life: SCAMP as IDEAL: 1. He has a playful curiosity and a natural genius for exploring knowledge. 2. He has dreams and a lofty idealism. 3. That he is able to correct his dreams by a sense of humor and thus restrain his idealism by a more robust and healthy realism. 4. He does not react to surroundings mechanically and uniformly as animals do, but possesses the ability and the freedom to determine his own reactions and to change surroundings at his will. MAN, THEREFORE, IS A CURIOUS, DREAMY, HUMOROUS, AND WAYWARD CREATURE :) As I check out CS profiles I am finding that there are a legion of "scamps" out there and this website is doing a fantastic job of connecting them.
CURRENT MISSION I want to live an adventurous exciting life. ABOUT ME Salut Couch Surfers! I just moved to France, so I may be able to host sometimes. If not, I'd love to meet up with you and show you my new village and town. Don't ask me, read my references! But if I must :D I think I have a fun spirit and sense of humor. I love animals, and nature. I really don't enjoy being inside if the sun is shining, and I find pleasure in being productive. I enjoy learning, and I hope to learn new languages, recipes, dances, ways of life...Everything! I look forward to meeting you and starting our adventure together! PHILOSOPHY Do what makes you happy (within reason). Respect nature. Respect your body.
