HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING One great reason was that I decided to go to Moscow with my late wife and her sisters and husbands as company for their father when he turned 85. He had always loved Russia, but never been there, so we thought it was about time. Then the airline closed down the Moscow-route and we went to St. Petersburg instead, which I think was a good change, not least due to Elena and Yulia. All they did to make our stay eventful and pleasant made me want to "pay back" by inviting couchsurfers to be hosted by us. Now i am receiving CS'ers in my home ansd sailboat, and hope to make good friends with as many as I can overcome. Using the sailing boat has turned out to become a good experience for both me, the yacht and not least, the surfers who have lived in it, as I understand. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE My late wife and I have always kept an open home, and have had visitors from all over the world, spanning from South Korea and Australia through Germany, England and France to the united States and South America. I find it fun and rewarding to make new acquaintances. As a widower I continue this tradition with great pleasure.
