CURRENT MISSION I would love to take part in a nice volunteer's action, preferably in South America §or Spain) ABOUT ME I always loved travelling, but think I didn't do it enough. As a boyscout I loved camping and once I made my own money I tried to find my way in the travel community. At first I went to popular places, everything organised by the tour operator. But when I was 25 I made a trek trough the USA (with Trek America) and discovered that going off the beaten track every now and then makes your trip special. Since that experience I organised all my trips myself, with the help of the internet providing terrific reports about the places I want to visit (www.wegwijzer.be). During my stay in South America I was touched by those people and it is there that I started thinking about volunteers work. Up to this point I didn't do anything yet but it is high on my to-do list. As a student I enjoyed life fully with long nights and heavy parties but now I enjoy a quiet terrace, or a pub with a nice atmosphere with some danceable music (preferably what they call world music) a lot more. Enjoying live and travelling are my goals. Working is a way of making my travels possible. PHILOSOPHY I work to live, and certainly NOT the other way around. Life is something we get. My opinion is that life, in se, has no meaning, so we have to make the best of it and try to give it meaning. Enjoy it !!!
