Música, Filmes e Livros
Most kinds of music., especially Trance, unplugged and rock. And many books and movies, leaning towards science fiction.
Uma Coisa Incrível Que Já Fiz
Spending new year 1999-2000 in a tiny village in Madagascar. An ayahuasca ceremony in the Amazon was pretty profound. So was seeing a blue-headed baby peering out for its first glimpse of this life Amazed by people doing amazing things around me all the time.
Ensinar, Aprender, Compartilhar
I can teach some tai chi, chi kung meditation, database stuff (if you insist!), happy to learn some yoga or just anything you're excited to share
Meus Interesses
I have many interests. I worked for many years in the IT/online field, and wrote a book on MySQL (no need to worry if you don't know what that is!) . I love the Wikimedia projects (Wikipedia), and am passionate about seeing them thriving in all South African languages. I've also practiced tai chi since 1995, and have a piece of paper saying I'm an instructor, although I don't practise enough to be much good. Green living is another passion. I was a founder of a co-op delivering organic food around Cape Town. I love anything that makes me think. But most of all I love wandering around the mountains and forests of Cape Town, so a Couchsurfer's visit is usually a good excuse to arrange one.
