CURRENT MISSION To have a good time and meet people on the way. ABOUT ME I'm a computer scientist and love technology, but I am also completely in awe of the natural world. I enjoy having my views challenged, and finding new ways to look at things. I would really like to travel more than I have, and number one on my list right now is the arctic circle to see the northern lights. Politically I'm a socialist and hope that the world gradually becomes more left wing. PHILOSOPHY Experience what life has to offer and live in the moment; be thoughtful and care for humankind; admit to wrongs, and have the courage to change your mind. And try not to take more than you need.

Movies: Pulp fiction, waking life, fight club, spirited away, seven samurai... Music: Mainly I listen to BBC radio 6, but I like folk, prog rock, hip hop, drum and bass, classical... Books: Anything by Virginia Woolf, the ragged trousered philanthropists, anything by iain banks, the name of the rose, down and out in paris and london, house of leaves, the lord of the rings...

Cycling to Croatia in 40 days was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. It really opened my eyes to the kindness of human beings and the beauty of living a simple life close to nature.
