Grew up in Guyana South America, and moved to New York City(Brooklyn) at age 14....so I pretty much consider myself a New Yorker. I love the outdoors, and trying new and exciting things....life is too short not to! Mountain biking, hiking, surfing, rock climbing, zip lining, laying on the beach, I'm all for it. Love sushi...will try almost anything once (within reason). Going to a new city and visiting to the local bars, clubs, restaurants, hot spots, and hidden treasures is the best way to experience what that city has to offer. I tend to avoid the tourist type stuff unless its very popular...like the Grand Canyon or things like that. PHILOSOPHY Life is too short to not explore and experience the world we live in. We rarely take the opportunity to explore our own cities or countries, let alone the world. There are so many beautiful and exciting people, cultures, and experiences awaiting us, so GET OUT THERE MEET SOMEONE NEW, TRY SOME NEW FOOD, MUSIC, WHATEVER...JUST LIVE AND ENJOY LIFE! CARPE DIEM...and don't forget to LIVE A LITTLE!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I host, surf, go to local meetups COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE So far I've had an amazing experience on CS. I've met surfers from Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Thailand, and numerous other places. They all have different stories, personalities, and were all pleasant and cool to hangout with. Next up is for me to start traveling.

I read just about anything that I have the opportunity to learn something from. I'm also a huge fan of espionage or military novels. The Secret, Who Stole My Cheese, Catcher In The Rye, The Pearl, The Great Gatsby, One Bullet Away, 12, 20 & 5, Tom Clancy's Net Force, The Runaway Jury, Stupid Black Men, The Grapes of Wrath Night, Primal Fear, Wellth, Lupe Fiasco, Wale, Jaz-Z, Skrillex, Kanye West, Lauren Hill, J.Cole, Mos Def, Common, Bob Marley, Maroon 5... anything that get's me moving or gets me thinking. I Think I Love My Wife, Tropic Thunder, Coming to America, Transformers, Kingdom of Heaven, Blackhawk Down, The Matrix, Resident Evil, Gladiator, 40 Year Old Virgin, Toy Story 3, Ice Age, The Avengers, Iron Man, Dark Knight. I watch it all. Even chick flicks...this is of course a compromise on my part lol.

I'm currently learning how to do a hand stand, speak Spanish, and dance salsa, so if you know how to do any of those things I can't wait to meet you. I can teach you how to cook caribbean food, fish, or juggle. I'm also a very good listener...if that counts :-)
