It can be hard sometimes to meet people in a new place and really know them. Spending time in people's homes and offering my home to others is a special way to engage. We might not even speak much, just perhaps share a meal, hopefully a laugh, but even so simple as that, it allows for a way of knowing people and a place that's not possible any other way.
