Hey, I am Carol, a techy and creative 40 something. I am a non smoker, non partier, who lives in Los Angeles but grew up in New York City. I work for a tech company as a temp. I am trying to become Full Time. I am software engineer enthusiast. I am super green to couch surfing joining, March 3rd 2024. Thus, I will not have any references. However, note I am open to advice to get references. I found this app listed in the book called Rick Steves: Europe Through The Back Door. In my spare time in LA, I am I am learning coding and photography but dabble in costume design, wardrobe styling, and fashion design. I like getting tear sheets to see my work in magazines. I love working with skaters, models and aspiring models. I am looking to travel more and stay with cool people. I love meeting new people and sharing my travel experiences. I am happy to hop on a call/WhatsApp or do FaceTime/Zoom/Google Meet. This way we get to know each other more and feel comfortable. I know this is not a free bed or a wannabe AirBnB. I do want to offer something in exchange. It how we best serve each other. Also, I realize this is your house. I will be considerate. I am usually a clean person anyway, cleaning up after myself (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom). It's nothing to wash my dishes, clean the tub/showers, sink, do my own laundry. I am happy to chip in for you to buy groceries of buy my own groceries. I can even prep and cook American Cuisine. It would be fun. I am happy to contribute and do whatever I need to. I look forward to meeting everyone. It will make for an amazing and memorable adventure. PS...In the future, I would love to return the favor and host. CURRENT GOAL: I am coming to Paris in July 2024-August 2024. To meet locals who are going to Paris Olympics 2024. I am headed there from Los Angeles. I want to revisit the city and immerse myself in the French culture while having the Olympics as a cool backdrop. I am excited. It will be my first Olympics in my favorite city of all time. I cannot wait to hang out with locals, practice my French (which is very little) and meet all the travelers from around the world. Go Sports! I have been to Paris before. However, I was in college. I would love indulge myself in French cuisine. I like home cook but open to going out as well. If you know of fun foods and beverages to eat and drink, I am open. I am open to food tours (minus the snails...hehe... I am not a fan), wine tastings, I would like to get a full experience. I want to revisit the sites then go on the off beaten path where all locals go to hang out because it's cool or because it's ironic. FUN FACT: I tried to move to Paris and Montreal but my visa was denied. I didn't have anything to offer the country. Plus, you really need to know French. I took French 3 times and had to drop the class. Professors move way too fast. OTHER REASONS (outside of the Olympics) I am looking to travel more and stay with cool people. I love meeting new people and sharing my travel experiences and culture. PREFERENCES I prefer to stay with females, couples, and families. I look forward to meeting everyone. Album 4 is my absolute favorite. At some point when I am rich, I would like to stay at this hotel. I do like some more main stream French artist like Celine Dion (does she even count?!)
