This is by far the most spontaneous thing I've ever done, and I am very excited at the possibility to meet cool people & experience a beautiful part of the world. It's also worth mentioning I happened to choose one of the most expensive countries on the planet to visit, and couchsurfing will allow me to do more than I would be able to at a hotel.
