I feel that couchsurfing would offer the opportunity to strengthen communities across countries, and create lasting friendships. As a Canadian, there are several stereotypes that I would be happy to dispel about my culture, and would also like to give advice on travellers considers visiting Canada. I would hope to learn from hosts about the city I am staying in and their couchsurfing experiences. There is no doubt that couchsurfing comes with its risks, and so finding a good host with experience would offer the opportunity to share tips on how to surf safely.
