I was in Pantanal South in Brazil in a trip riding my mountain bike. Was so warm that day and whole the place is humid, then we arrived close to a small river, with no more than 15 metres, about 50 feet. When is dry in that region, on the river the fishes, are crowded and carnivores, specially piranhas with its sharp and fast jaws. So I parked my bike, inspect my body and I couldn't realise any cut or even small injury. I warmed up my body, strength myself and got into the water, it was so pleasant. I felt some "soft bites" in my back, and my arms but I didn't care about that and keep swimming until another side. I waited and watched the other swimmers when the last girl came, she stopped swimming about a meter from me and looked at me with fear, as if something had bit her. I just jumped and pulled her out of the river. In the meantime, the place has been infested with piranhas! Fortunate, destiny, predestination, or whatever, I was in the right place and I was able to do the right thing to save her. I was honoured to have did that. Thank you to have read my history. End
