I’ve been traveling throughout México, reconnecting my roots with the land and loving every moment of it. While I was born in los altos de Jalisco, my family and I immigrated as a baby and I grew up on south side Chicago. Recently back in Chicago after a couple years of living in Mexico. I love plants, particularly eating them and learning about indigenous plant medicines. Ethiopian food is a fave cuz that vegetarian platter for four is *chef’s kiss* Down to meet up for some adventures!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing
I was recommended to try out Couchsurfing from a guy I met in a hostel in Portugal. The idea of being able to visit a place and connect with others totally attracted me to this site. People at hostels are not always so polite or willing to spend time with newcomers, so having a way to meet people who are willing to welcome visitors and help by giving them a place to stay is something that I feel will amplify my travel abroad experience.
Música, Filmes e Livros
Music: I love all music, but recently I have been listening to hip hop, R&B, House, Bosa Nova, and anything else you can think of lol there’s some pretty wired music out there that vibes just right though. Movies: I love movies that mess with your head or make you think. (The Dark Knight, Waking Life, Fight Club, Enter the Void). Books: Night by Elie Wiesel; Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman; Ishmael by Daniel Quinn.
Uma Coisa Incrível Que Já Fiz
Traveling in Europe and Mexico alone is a pretty big thing for me and my family.

I know Mexican and American culture. I love my city of Chicago and I love to cook, so I can teach you Mexican and American culture and food. I am socially active in Chicago and love discussing political and social implications and challenging society's normatives. I want to learn new cultures, especially when it comes to food (have you noticed I love food? haha). I can share with you my experiences as a Mexican immigrant growing up in Chicago and given the opportunity to explore Europe. Not too many of us out here :)
