I love to cook, host, and meet people. I have 10+ years of experience cooking for and feeding large groups (think 50+). I am a pastor's wife and mother of 3 college-aged children. I love cats.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing
I came across Couchsurfing while looking for resources and tips for my trip to Europe this summer with my husband. We came across the term "cultural ambassador" while we were searching for things to do there. This seemed promising to us, especially because we are not going to simply be tourists, but to get out of our usual routine in our home in the US. I am offering free lessons in making kimchi and other Korean foods, as well as free Korean lessons, in exchange for room and board. I have experience teaching Korean cooking classes in my local women's group, as well as several years' worth of experience cooking for large groups of people.
Música, Filmes e Livros
I enjoy all types and genres of music and movies! But my favorite type of movie involves cooking and hosting; my all-time favorite movie is Babette's Feast. It's one of the main reasons why I am interested in European cooking and food.
Uma Coisa Incrível Que Já Fiz
I made soondae from scratch while living in the US. Soondae is a Korean blood sausage that is very difficult to make. I ordered all the ingredients--pig intestines, frozen cow and pig's blood, etc.--myself online so that it would be as close as possible to the soondae I could get back in South Korea.
Ensinar, Aprender, Compartilhar
Kimchi! I am very good at making kimchi from scratch. Kimchi-making can be a large-scale project but I am willing to teach it. I can teach other Korean foods as well, like mandoo (Korean dumplings) and jjigae (Korean stews). I can also teach Korean language.
O Que Posso Oferecer aos Hosts
Kimchi making tutorials, Korean cooking lessons, Korean language lessons.
