Archaeology has taken me to lots of great places. The most breathtaking was a monumental site in southwest Georgia. I was living in a village that probably never sees tourists, in a home with wonderful Georgian hosts. I climbed a mountain and floated down the river to our dig house. I also ended up in a Soviet hospital there, which was amazing in a kind of terrifying way.

I can teach English. Some Russian. I can teach you how to make pie or chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. I can tell you a lot about war and gender in the Iron Age on the Eurasian steppe (you probably don't want me to though). I want to learn languages!! I'd love to learn anything, although practicing what I've forgotten of Spanish is at the top of the list. I also want to learn how to make/build stuff.
