My first experience with couchsurfing is the reason I am still here... I had just arrived in Manchester and it was a freezing Saturday night. I was looking for hostels but everything was full. Knowing that last minute requests are nearly useless I didn't really give it thought until I had exhausted all other options. So I sent out a few hasty and desperate requests. Some hours went by and I was starting to think about a nice bench to sleep on when I was saved by a wonderful girl. I ended up surfing for a week and picking up a job in Manchester. Nothing but love for this app!
