Hi! I'm Jorge, originally from the north of Portugal, and I spent many great years living in Coimbra. These days, I’m exploring South America. I just reactivated my profile (July 2025) and looking forward to connecting again. By profession, I'm in the tech world, but what truly fulfills me are two things: art and travel. I enjoy experimenting with video art, painting with watercolors, and like many others, I love watching series, films, going to concerts, or spending time at music and art festivals. There’s still so much I want to learn in life, improving my surfing skills and learning to play the piano are two things on that list. I enjoy meaningful conversations with open-minded people, especially when it comes to the big topics: environmental challenges, economic systems, and the future of AI. I believe these exchanges are key to understanding not just others, but also ourselves. When I travel, I try to connect with locals whenever possible. For me, the heart of a place is its people, and Couchsurfing has given me some of the most enriching experiences that way. Hosting Philosophy I prefer to host people who have at least a few references, as it helps build mutual trust. I don’t usually host for just one night, it’s hard to create any real cultural exchange in such a short time. I’ve completed three marathons so far, and I’m already thinking about my next challenge!
