I live in a suburb of Seattle but I love warmer climates. I wanted to be an artist & rockstar but I gave that up to please my parents with a degree, against my heart's consent, but I didn't have a language to understand/express it at the time. I've had many life challenges but in meeting with a mind/body/spirit system and a little self reflection I've done a good job at turning that frown upside down. I'd like to think that if life had been smoother I could list interests, hobbies, volunteer activities/accomplishments here but instead this is what I've got: a different outlook on life that expanded my mind and interpretation of the world and it's events. Keep reading.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing
To "experience" and savor a place, it's culture, and connect with whomever I'm with, rather than just look at a place. The most meaningful travel adventure I've been on thus far was when I stayed with my Brazilian friend for two weeks. I felt like part of her family. I ate all kinds of new foods (vein sausage, cows knees, feijoada with pig snouts and ears, chicken legs & hearts... but I loved the wild boar and other Brazilian BBQ). We hung out with her college friends locally (Sao Paulo) and travelled to her extended family's homes and farms. I loved it. I washed a lot of dishes in gratitude. I went back later as a tourist and it was NOT the same.
Música, Filmes e Livros
Any music that is really well done. Genres include dance music as featured on c89.5 fm worldwide dance radio, alternative rock featured on 107.7 FM Seattle, some of the current pop music is okay, too. If the mood is right, I have a love of great classical composers. Music I collected in high school: Smashing Pumpkins, Tori Amos, and PJ Harvey. I grew up playing classical piano music and listening to "Oldies" (e.g., Johnny Cash "Walk the Line", Herman's Hermits "There's a Kind of Hush", Creedence Clearwater Revival "Bad Moon Rising", Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel "The Sound of Silence"). Books: mostly non-fiction like cookbooks and personal or spiritual development. Last book I read about a real person was "My apprenticeship with a Mayan healer". I don't own a TV. Is that blasphemy? I enjoy movies socially (kind of like drinking): Sci-fi, funny or feel-good movies.
Uma Coisa Incrível Que Já Fiz
Big love for humankind. I used my maximum capacity (physical, mental, emotional, energy) and then found there was still more! This was as an open heart/True Self workshop staff member for 2+ years (once a month). Daily life doesn't set us up to know how amazing we are and what we are capable of.
Ensinar, Aprender, Compartilhar
I love the amazing synergy of group. Whatever we all focus on magnifies! If you want, I can lead holistic movement and energy meditation that shifts brainwaves & consciousness for feeling healthier, happier and more bright/peaceful/clear. 3+ people minimum is best. I'm an advocate of the Earth Citizen movement. Energy is a common language of all life/consciousness no matter what the country, culture, gender or beliefs.
O Que Posso Oferecer aos Hosts
Authenticity. Positive presence. Banter. I love to really connect with whomever I'm with. Intelligent conversation. I try not to take things so seriously. I'm up for playing games.
Meus Interesses
Hiking. Living room dancing. Recharging through internal martial arts, energy yoga and meditation/deep relaxation. Nutrition/Cooking - I've lived many kinds of dietary lifestyles, currently I'm wavering between a Paleo diet and anti-inflammatory diet (whole life nutrition kitchen). Drawing. Brainstorming.
