Por que estou no Couchsurfing
1. Before finding out about CS I had had a solid experience with ho(s)tels, which always made me feel like I was missing something. This something is exactly what all the travelers are looking for: the local spirit, which I believe is only possible to grasp when you are staying with locals. 2. I was deeply surprised at how I actually made good friends with my CS hosts, who turned out to be some of the most interesting people I have ever met! The ability to look for people with similar interests is just great. 3. A trivial yet significant reason is the opportunity to save money for discovering a place better or pursuing one's interests. I would always prefer buying another book about Chagall or Bosch to sleeping at a fancy place :)

Meus Interesses
Despite being a devoted science student, I can readily call myself an art enthusiast as well. My biggest interests are: - music, the most significant one. I've been researching on obscure and avantgarde music of various genres for quite some time. - fine arts. I try to attend at least one art museum/gallery in every city I visit. Surprisingly for myself, I discovered some great Latvian and Estonian artists of the XX century this way. - literature. I tend to bring a bag of books from every journey - European bookshops can be just fascinating!
