Hello there! We're four enthusiastic cyclists on an 8,000 mile journey from Alaska to Florida. We're riding in memory of Patrick Wanninkhof, who was a brother, partner, friend and teacher to each of us. He was killed on a cross country cycling trip in 2015. More about his life and about this ride can be found on our site, PRO8000.com. The four of us are an eclectic group, bound together by our love of bicycles. Suzette is a recent Penn grad, Rachel is a New York City high school teacher, Megan is a youth mentor for bike safety and mechanics, Greg is an NC State student. Three of us have completed cross-country trips before, but this 8000 mile endeavor is an exciting new challenge for us all! We plan to spend only a night in each town, and are equipped with sleeping pads and bags. We'd love to use your shower and hopefully share a meal. If you'd like to hang out and chat, awesome! If you've got plans, we're happy to spend time on our own. Suzette is based out of Miami and would love to host upon her return in March 2016.
