Por que estou no Couchsurfing
So 10 years ago, I decided I needed to learn to stay in one place. I've worked my way through college and find myself itching to return to my travel bug roots. I want to reclaim that feeling that I can reach out to people and connect as I travel through in a meaningful way. I want to be helpful and a positive addition to every home I go to and I want to be changed by everyone I meet.
Uma Coisa Incrível Que Já Fiz
Dogsledding for 21 days in Northern Minnesota. We slept on the ice in sleeping bags under the stars, carried most of our gear on our backs and cross country skied a fair amount through a preserve. It was -20 degrees most nights and it got down to -60 once. That was the 24 hours of solo camping I completed. That was the most miserable exhilarating experience of my life and I wanted to go right back out there the minute it was over.
Ensinar, Aprender, Compartilhar
I can teach singing (Jazz, folk, bluegrass, appalacian, cajun, motown, country and some classical) for both adults and am certified to teach small children; I can help with most tutoring situations and can help brainstorm college stuff as I worked my way through and had to figure out the plan as it happened; I can teach some acting, crochet, knitting, embroidery, any textile based art; some recipes. I love to learn - if you've got something you're passionate about then tell me all about it. I'm comfortable finding ways to keep myself entertained (figuring out the whole blogging world) but definitely up for an adventure.
O Que Posso Oferecer aos Hosts
I am a fantastic guest. I can blend into any house culture and feel most comfortable when I can be of help. I like to leave a place happier, cleaner, brighter, and more filled with joy than when I came and I want to make sure that I continue to learn as much as I can from everyone I meet.
Meus Interesses
Well I have been a Jazz singer, a dog sledder, trained in scuba diving, and relearning the art of solo camping. I continue my research from UMBC in Interdisciplinary study work and hope to figure out how to begin publishing my work involving Media, Philosophy, Sociology, Economic history and social psychology.
