I'm a man who successfully persuaded my dad to embark on a world tour trip around Asia, and you can watch the international news coverage of our journey at this link: TRT World Video. You can also follow my travel adventures on my Facebook page: Universal Man. Hello! My name is Yigit Kurt, and I am originally from Antalya, which is often described as a paradise on Earth. I pursued my education in tourism and hotel management at Istanbul Yeditepe University. During my academic journey, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in an Erasmus program in Amsterdam for six months. Additionally, I engaged in a work and travel program in the USA, spending three months in Arizona. During my time at university, I was an active member of the Erasmus club and frequently socialized with Erasmus students. My first mandatory internship took place in the USA before I graduated. After completing this internship, I embarked on a journey through both the western and eastern parts of the United States. I visited cities such as LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, Flagstaff, Tempe, Sedona, Chapel Hill, New Jersey, New York, and the Grand Canyon, as well as numerous charming small towns along the way. Upon concluding my Erasmus experience in Amsterdam in 2013, I returned to Turkey, traveling across various European destinations using an Interrail pass. I have a deep passion for meeting new friends because I believe that life offers a wealth of knowledge and experiences, and connecting with diverse individuals is one of the best ways to learn and grow. At present, I reside in Antalya, Turkey, with my parents and my younger brother. I have a history of hosting Erasmus students in my apartment, which has allowed me to forge friendships worldwide. On occasions, I have taken my foreign friends to my family's home in Antalya. I have a genuine addiction to meeting new people as I find immense value in listening to their life stories, experiences, and unique perspectives. I have undertaken two Interrail journeys across Europe and plan to embark on another adventure, this time with my dad. Thus far, I have traveled to Northern Europe three times, and I have a particular fondness for Norway, often using the hashtag #anywayroadtoNorway😎. My journeys have also taken me to Asia, where I spent six months exploring countries such as India (for 70 days), Sri Lanka, and various tropical islands. I also visited Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, among others. My ultimate goal is to visit every country in the world. My first target is to travel to Mongolia and trek through the Gobi Desert. Additionally, I aim to complete the 800 km Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. My third goal is to embark on a solo trip to Iceland, hitchhiking and camping, where I plan to explore many small villages before commencing my world tour. In the summer of 2018, in August, I began my travel journey from Istanbul to Oulu, Finland, covering a distance of 6500 km by hitchhiking. This experience was truly remarkable. During this adventure, I reached Switzerland, where I camped in the Alp mountains and swam in a lake at an altitude of 2200 meters. In September and October, I attended a local travel festival in Van, a city in eastern Turkey. Following the festival, I resumed my hitchhiking journey, traveling to Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, and eventually making my way back to my hometown of Antalya. Although the journey had its share of challenges and was at times a bit perilous, it was mostly a safe and rewarding experience. At one point, my female travel partner and I even spent a night outside in Tbilisi, Georgia. n 2020, I moved to Minnesota, USA, where I lived for some time before traveling to the Dominican Republic. There, I managed aid projects, raising funds to purchase supplies for people in need. I stayed in Minnesota until 2021, after which I took a solo 1,200-mile road trip to Texas and eventually settled in Oklahoma. In 2022, I returned to Turkey and, after a three-month stay, planned a reverse trip around the world, covering 40,500 km. My journey took me from Antalya, Turkey, to Saudi Arabia, India, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, the Hawaiian Islands, Los Angeles, Minnesota, and finally Delaware. I lived in Delaware for one year and spent four months in New York. Some time lived in New Zealand cause I had a work visa over there call working and holiday only get 100 people every year from Turkiye In September 2023, three friends and I decided to take on a road trip challenge. We traveled 4,000 miles from New York to San Diego, funding our trip entirely through earnings from food delivery. We returned via the historic Route 66, completing a total of 8,000 miles over 37 days. In January 2024, my family came to visit, and together we took an RV trip across the United States. Starting in Miami and Key West, we traveled to Los Angeles, covering 4,500 miles through Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. We then flew to the East Coast, rented another RV, and toured Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and Massachusetts, traveling an additional 2,500 miles. In August 2024, two friends and I embarked on a road trip from New York to Miami, selling bracelets along the way to fund our journey. This trip lasted 29 days, during which we visited all the cities along the East Coast. We eventually moved to Miami. Cheers, amigos! You can follow my adventures on Instagram at Evrenseladam.
