Hey! I’m Yura — Artist, Traveler, Storyteller. In 2015, I took a leap from Voronezh, Russia, to Malaysia — my first adventure abroad. I arrived as a volunteer at “The Cool Indians” collective, where evenings were spent sharing meals, stories, and creative rituals. For someone who had never left home, it was transformational. From there, I hitchhiked to Thailand and joined another vibrant coastal volunteering community. Bali‑style hostels, sunrise meditations, and endless evenings by the sea taught me the lush beauty of human connection. Next came Cambodia: two magical weeks atop a mountain island, volunteering at a rave-party hostel. At night, the jungle vibrated with music; by day, I learned what raw freedom truly felt like. From there, I explored Vietnam for a while — but soon felt a pull to return home. 🎉 Back in Russia for New Year’s, something clicked: traveling wasn’t a phase — it was my calling. I booked a flight to South Korea. In Seoul, my first months were spent on a farm, earning and learning. Then I joined Kimchee Guesthouse, a hostel bursting with global energy, art, and friendships that still color my life. Nine months later, a French friend and I set off again across South Asia: Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam — almost a year more of new lessons and deep exchanges. My mom had no idea I’d been gone until I hugged her at the door! After that chapter: building villas back home, then securing a visa and flying to Paris. Four months with my French friend’s family — tattooing, cooking, building, laughing in their home, learning French and French recipes. And then? Adventure anew: Morocco, Spain, and then South America with one-way tickets and open hearts. Brazil became a second home: volunteering in hotels, restaurants, and even co‑founding a vodka brand—Vodka Caseira—with another Russian wanderer. I hitchhiked from Rio to Foz de Iguaçu (Insta-worthy waterfall photos incoming!). Uruguay, Argentina, then Peru. By March 2020, I arrived in Ecuador—and the world paused. While it collapsed elsewhere, I found a peaceful rhythm on the Pacific coast. After the pandemic, I’ve continued exploring Ecuador with my partner and our little dog—now four years old, always smiling, always ready to join the next road trip. 🗣️ A bit more about me: • Languages: Russian (native), English (fluent), basic French, Spanish, Portuguese • Passions: DJing, minimalist tattooing, sustainable fashion design • Travel style: Volunteering whenever possible, hitchhiking, couch‑surfing, and building brands and friendships on the road • Travel dream: Eventually busking beats, designing tattoos or clothes, and meeting artists in every continent ⸻ Looking forward to meeting new people, learning new cultures, exchanging music or tattoos, and celebrating hospitality. Let’s make some stories together. Спасибо, merci, gracias, thanks — Yura from Voronezh 🌍 My personal ig page - im.wastedtalent My ig art page - HIIHATETATTS HIIHATETATT.COM Currentlly QUITO.ecuador
