2 weeks in Turkey, hiring a car or a few, starting ASAP !
Hello / Merhaba dear travellers in Turkey ! Would you be interested to share a trip for a few days up to 2 weeks around Turkey ? I have my international driving license and we could rent a car for 3, 4 or 5 people. I would hire a Diesel Fuel car as it's cheaper. The trip could start from Ankara or around Kayseri / Cappadocia / Central Anatolia in order to visit sites between Kayseri, Konya and Mersin/Adana for about a week and another week could be from Antalya to Izmir through the Lycian Coast / Turkish Riviera: Yanartas, Olympos and tree houses, Demre (Myra ruins...), Kekova island, Saklikent Gorge, Kabak Canyon and Beach, Butterfly Valley (deep canyon and remote beach), Kayaköy town ruin, Fethiye (rock tombs, mountains, turquoise sea, Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon), Dalyan (rocktombs and marshlands), Marmaris (Blue Voyage), Simena (hilltop citadel), Mugla, Pammukale, Hierapolis. And the last few days could be around Uludag, Bursa and Istanbul. We can find couchsurfing hosts on the way OR hostels OR cave hotels with hot springs OR just camp outside (I have a tent for 2). For your informaiton, my name is Fred and I'm 10 years experienced in living travelling working and studying overseas, and also CouchSurfing around the world (47 countries out of 65 travelled), lots of different experiences and environments, being a guest, a host, a greeter, a travel organizer and a community developer. Everything is very spontaneous but here are some info regarding the area covered (main sites include rock chimneys and castles, caves and cave houses, mountain and river valleys, underground cities, hot springs, hamams / Turkish baths).
