You'll be situated within walking distance to one of the cutest small mountain towns in America, with plenty of restaurants, live music, shops, walking paths, and hiking trails -- and within easy drives to nearby day hiking destinations including Catawba Falls, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mount Mitchell, and Linville Gorge. This is a perfect vacation getaway for one clean, quiet, responsible non-smoking adult who would be excited to spend time immersed in all that WNC has to offer. No kids, no pets.

Drive My Dog To DC?

I'm looking for someone who can drive my 25 lb mutt, Sammy, to DC. He is super cute and loves humans. Not much of a fan of other animals. He does get whiny sometimes on car rides, but I will sedate him and he shouldn't be much trouble. He is 11 years old and I am having to rehome him. A couchsurfing friend up there has graciously agreed to give him his best life for his remaining years. Anybody headed that way from here in the mountains?

3 Day AT Hike to Hot Springs from Asheville

Hoping for some company, advice or support to reach the Max Patch trail head from Asheville. Approx 1 hour drive to the trail head to start a 3 day hike into hot springs. I have full camping gear in as eanyone needs to share the load. Looking to share a transfer/shuttle cost or any advice to keep the cost down as I am travelling solo without a car. Hoping to leave around 9/10th July staying in Downtown

Renting RV in Smoky Mountains area- any insider tips?

I'm gearing up to hike ~5 days of Appalachian trail starting from GA Springer mountain, landing anywhere within or around the Smoky Mountain region. I'd like to rent something to sleep 1-2, budget-friendly, maybe around $700 for the month of October. Any suggestions are appreciated! Especially if you also know whether wifi would be a possibility. I read that the national park is totally disconnected to cell signal (assuming that means wifi too) which is GREAT, but ideally would still work remotely while in the area and could get hot spot.
