I am currently travelling from south to north through Portugal. My mode of transport is a solar- and muscle-powered recumbent trike. I have already circumnavigated almost the entire world on it, travelling across 5 continents and 27 countries over 55,000 km. The trike has a trailer on which the solar panels are mounted and where the luggage is stowed. The whole vehicle is 5.5m long and 1.0m wide, so it’s tricky to find suitable accommodation. I can also take it apart, leaving me with a 2-metre-long trike and a 3.8-metre-long trailer. If you have a suitable place to store it and would like to hear about my unusual solar journey, I’d be happy to pop round.
