Triglav National Park - Lakes, Waterfalls and Trekings

Travelling on a low budget mode, by interrail and comming from Berlin, I would like to stay the closest to the places I want to visit. Where should I stay? I don't want to climb to the peak, just take a walk around the stunning landscapes, and if possible, avoid touristic places. What do you recommend me? Any couchsurfer who could host me :) ? Thank you so much!

Hi Alicia,

there a re few places u could stay and they are not so touristic, at least not yet:) You can stay in Jesenice, from where you have good connection to the lake Bled (15km), lake Bohinj (30km), Kranjska Gora 20km (all mentioned places are touristic and beautiful) or you stay in Žirovnica, which is 7km away from Jesenice, wher you have few easy hikes and bike routes:) Anoither option is to stay at Mojstrana or Dovje (10km from Jesenice) where you have short ferrata, great hikes, waterfall Peričnik, some climbing and more:) in all the palces you can do lot of activities:) I would also recommend Vršič pass, hike to the Martuljški waterfallls (start in Gozd Martuljek, 5km before Kranjska Gora), valley of Soča, Vintgar gorge, source of river Sava, valley Trenta and more..depend how much time you have:))) if u have more questions or need more detail explanation, let me know:)) enjoy in sLOVEnia:)
