Hello Couchsurfing family,

My name is Sam (also known as Bruce) — an outdoor instructor, cycling coach, and founder of two adventure-driven communities in Kenya: Wild Pro Adventures and Cycling Nomads Kenya.

I’ve dedicated my life to connecting people with nature, guiding individuals through mountains, trails, and endurance adventures across East Africa. This September, I’ll be taking on a transformative journey: a seven-day cycling expedition from Nairobi to Kigali, passing through Kenya and Tanzania before reaching Rwanda to attend the World Cycling Championships.

But this ride is more than just personal. It’s a mission — to promote sustainable travel, cross-border unity, and stronger African representation in endurance sports.

As part of the Couchsurfing spirit, I’m reaching out to connect with local hosts and outdoor enthusiasts along the way who may be open to:

1. Offering accommodation (a safe space to sleep, camp, or rest),

2. Sharing local insight or cultural experiences,

3. Meeting up for a ride, walk, or meaningful exchange.

Planned Route & Stopovers:

Day 1: Ngong – Suswa – Olulunga (160 km)

Day 2: Olulunga – Kehancha – Isibania (156 km)

Day 3: Isibania – Bunda – Masahunga – ferry to Mwanza, Tanzania

Day 4: Busisi – Bwanga (144 km)

Day 5: Bwanga – Muzina (132 km)

Day 6: Muzina – Rusoma Border – Kirehe, Rwanda (88 km)

Day 7: Kirehe – Kigali (89 km)

I’ll return to Nairobi by bus after the event.
