More often I'm just too busy at work and don't have any time, sometimes just not in the mood for meetings, nothing personal. The same with references - I write them occasionally - many of the guest I had I really adored but still haven't written any reference - actually I guess had a great luck with all the international travellers I came across with, I enjoyed being together a lot and they all turned out to be kind of soulmates to me. CURRENT MISSION cultural exchange exploring calm places ABOUT ME I don't like the fuss and enjoy being kind of slow and relaxed - probably that's one of the reasons why I can't live without going outdoors escaping those crowds of evil people (I'm a bit misanthropic sometimes) and all the city fuss even if it's only a one-day trip. Another reason is that Irkutsk's unfortunately too dirty and might be not that hospitable sometimes. I enjoy hiking in a small group and have some favourite places I can't live without. the paths for one-day trips are pretty easy and are good both for waliking and biking and easily fit in a day - it might be a hike to some rocks deep in the forests (Olkhinskoye plateau, Vityaz and Idol rocks and others) on a half way from Irkutsk to southernest point of Baikal or to the Old Baikal railroad which goes along the southern shore (Dark Forest, Old Angasolka, Kultuk). Another magical place I love is Arshan - a small resort town in a foothill of East Sayan mountains - its 230 km from Irkutsk by car through the south of Baikal - in Buryat republic, along Tunka valley - you can stay there forever exploring hundreds of mountain trails and other interesting locations in the area (though we usually go there for a weekend) - it is good any season but when it's not cold (till November) we have an opportunity to stay at a friend's house (which is too cold for winter). PHILOSOPHY - there's too much shit in this world to become a part of it - happiness only real when shared
