Hello! My name is Gustav, I am 21 years old and currently live in Germany. I am new to Couchsurfing and therefore don't have any references yet but I can assure you I am very respectful of others, their values and ways of living. I am super thankful of being hosted and a clean and calm guy. I study forest sciences and do a lot of sports like jogging, calisthenics, gym, or combat sports. I‘m interested in languages and I like reading. I love trees, nature, and agriculture. Also, I am a passionate cook and look forward to showing you some of my best dishes if I happen to stay at your place. :)
/VERY IMPORTANT: I AM NOT HOSTING AT THE MOMENT...but you can still visit my profile and ask for a hangout if you happen to be in Freiburg.../ Hi, my name is Mathieu. I believe I'm a nice and open-minded guy. Anyway, I am willing to be always more open-minded and I try not to take myself too seriously. I am originally from Burgundy in eastern France. I grew up in a village in a wine region. I lived there until I was 18 and I have amazing memories of that time. I've been living in Freiburg im Breisgau in southern Germany since September 2020. It is also a wine region. I first came to Germany for summer jobs and then for my studies and finally I stayed there. I am a language lover. I love languages because they are the key to the heart of (most of) the people. I might be a little reserved at first. But once the ice is broken, I am very talkative and even a little goofy. I am uncomplicated and easy-going. I really love challenges as well as adventures!
Hi there my name's Marcel and I'm half german and brazilian. I grew up in the heart of the black forest. That's why I'm very addicted to the the nature. I love to take pictures, cooking and meet up new people from other cultures/countries. If you're looking for a sympathic host in the center of Basel, near the SBB and the Altstadt, you'd better send me a message :) From my flat, it takes less than 5min to the SBB and the city centre (by feet). And just some more steps to the beautiful Wettstein bridge, where you can watch the great Rhein river and Basel by night. IG: zicoconut_
NOT HOSTING CURRENTLY A Jordanian-Palestinian gal that somehow managed to convince her parents to ship her off to Germany at 19. What could go wrong! Apparently nothing because here I still am, 7 years later. Tied to a 9-5 job that I actually enjoy and managed to make a life for myself that I’m proud of. My aim is to make it a life that I don’t seek escape from, but rather make it so full that holidays and vacations feel like the cherry on top and not the whole cake. In short, I’m trying to find the beauty in the mundane. I love learning and taking up new hobbies and as it turns out I love dropping them even more. My mom always says that I lose myself in a hundred mazes and I can’t say she’s wrong there :’) I’m trying to control my ever shifting interest in things and be consistent long enough to see progress. If you have any tips for managing 563 interests at once, please do share! If I did believe in past lives, I'm pretty sure I would've been a cat. Not only because I love to sleep so much, but also because I relate to the independence and curiosity that they possess. Oh and their playfulness! Unlike cats, I don't bite ;)

I think there must always be a human element in what we do, and it’s important to follow your instincts and stay loyal to what you believe in—be nice!, the world will smile back at you ;)
The best thing at traveling is to be in at new places, don't know what to expect there, to meet nice people and learn something about different cultures. That's why I started to travel a lot on my own. Because I think these kinds of experiences are more intense. Couchsurfing is a good way to meet interesting people and get more deeper into the culture and the normal life in the country. So far I met just great people over this app. I'm a social worker working in a child shelter. I'm an outdoor person, who love it to be outside in the nature and do outdoor activities like hiking, climbing, bouldering, via ferattas, surfing, driving ski, driving bike and I'm very curius about trying new things. I have a horse since 10 years and most of the time in my life I had cats. In a short time I will have a cat again, and I can't wait for it. I don't use CS as a dating app, if this is your intention please go to tinder. Who do I host: I host people who read my profile and send a message not only because they need a place to stay. Personally I would never send a request to someone only for that reason, so we expect the same from other people. Couchsurfing is about combining the practical with the interesting, not just one of them. I prefer to host people who are hosting as well, since couchsurfing should be a giving and taking. And I would like to cook something together because I wanna try your favourite food and show your mine :)
Hey! I’m living in a cozy 1-room apartment in Freiburg, where I work as a nurse and study Nursing Science at the University of Freiburg. Life can be hectic with work and studies, but I love taking time to meet new people and connect. It’s what keeps life interesting. I enjoy being active, whether that’s weightlifting, climbing, or spending time outdoors kayaking or hiking. I also have a passion for cooking, especially Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and I love sharing meals with others. I try to keep life balanced between meaningful conversations and lighthearted adventures. I’m gay and open-minded and always enjoy meeting people who appreciate life’s quirks and differences. Interests Staying active: Weightlifting, climbing, kayaking, and hiking oking: I love experimenting in the kitchen and sharing meals with friends. Exploring nature and discovering new places.
Friendly, Easygoing and ready to meet new people :)) ...
I am a student from Germany and love to travel around. I like exploring all the local spots and the vibe of the places I go. I love going on adventures and trying out new hobbies. I prefer real maps over google maps, but rarely use real maps because they are expensive and heavy… I love to dance, especially Latin dances. I like being active and in nature, but I also enjoy sunbathing and art museum crawls.
CURRENTLY I'M BETWEEN PLACES - HAVE LIVED IN FREIBURG UNTIL RECENTLY; AM TRAVELING AND STAYING WITH A FRIEND AND LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE: ABOUT ME Creative, love living in different countries and learning languages. I love getting to know people and their cultures. PHILOSOPHY Be kind, and learn to look at everything from every perspective.
Hi I'm Akhil, I was born and raised in a small city in the south of India called Mysore. Despite having a relatively small population, my city had a fairly international atmosphere with tourists and students from all over the world. I believe the people I encountered there have instilled in me a love of travel and embracing cultures from other parts of this earth :) Now I live in Freiburg im Breisgau, in Germany, a city roughly the same size as my hometown. I'm a student here, and despite being new, I have fallen in love with the place. I would love to show you around to the best spots around town, and would be glad to go on small hikes just outside the city. --- I grew up fascinated by computers and how they work, which led me into software engineering. Over time, though, I've become deeply disappointed with how technology has been used by late-stage capitalism to track, exploit and enslave us. For a few years I've been trying to minimize the influence of technology and these companies over my own life, and I'm always happy to help others do the same. I also love tinkering with small electronics. Beyond that, I'm deeply into the arts. I used to be a massive bookworm, though now I only read in bits and pieces. I absolutely love cinema (more on that below), and I enjoy music from all over the world. I find touristic sightseeing - spending all day hopping between monuments and famous buildings incredibly tiring. What interests me far more is experiencing a place through its people and everyday culture: how locals dress, what they eat and drink, how they spend their time. I like walking around neighborhoods with a camera, photographing whatever catches my attention. Despite how serious I've made myself sound, I'm honestly a bit of a goofball, I'm almost always joking around and giggling, and I love light conversation as much as deep reflections. Usually up for anything, and fairly easy-going with plans. I don't have very strong preferences with most things. My travel is usually unplanned - and solo. Thank you for reading my word-salad, I'm sure I'll make more sense in real life. See you soon!!
CURRENT MISSION fun. :) ABOUT ME Mostly i like everything what makes me and other people fun :) - I'm very spontaniously and open to everything, i'm totally in love with music :) PHILOSOPHY You just should have fun in your life, not thinking bad
