A friend introduced me to Couchsurfing, and I’m glad she did. Traveling has become one of the ways I challenge myself: stepping out of my comfort zone, meeting people from different backgrounds, and learning to embrace the unknown a little more. I tend to be more reserved in person at first, so I like writing detailed profiles — they make conversations easier and more genuine. One of my closest Couchsurfing friendships actually started when we read each other’s profiles and realized we were both too shy to bring certain topics up ourselves, haha. A quote I really like: “In the darkest times, hope is something you give yourself. That is the meaning of inner strength.” And just to be clear: I’m here for cultural exchange, travel, and human connection — not romantic encounters. Please be respectful of that.
