I'm Ashley! I'm a pretty laid-back person and can get a long with everyone. I LOVE the occasional road-trip and visiting new places! It’s really exciting for me to find hole-in-the-wall spots that not many people visit. I enjoy going to festivals, listening to live music, and meeting new people along the way! I’m a fan of anything outdoors like hiking and kayaking and would say Im happiest when I’m watching a sunset on top of a mountain☀️ "Dwell on the beauty of life. CURRENT MISSION My mission is to change the world for the better one person at a time starting with myself. I aim to enhance the atmosphere of any space I enter by spreading more love and compassion. With so much widespread fear and a genuine lack of empathy for other beings, I want to help be a part of the solution to make this world a better place for ALL. I also want to immerse myself in as many cultures as possible. Oh, and become fluent in as many languages as possible. ABOUT ME I am a bit goofy and very happy to be alive in such an interesting time. I love to dance and crack jokes. I even have come up with a very therapeutic practice called a "dance off ". It's hilarious and legit😉. So ask me, I'll happily teach you how to do it. You won't regret it. I am many things. I am an actor, a healer, a martial arts instructor, a physical fitness instructor, and a life coach to name a few. But ultimately, I love to be of service and to help whomever I can whenever I can. I also love learning from everyone I meet. There's always something to learn. Humanity and the many beautiful forms it takes has always fascinated me and I want to meet citizens from every nation. PHILOSOPHY Be brutally honest yet lovingly accepting of yourself. We all have areas in which we can improve and we can only fix what we are willing to see.

I was introduced to Couchsurfing in Fall 2025. It has always been fun for me to travel alongside new and fun people. About me: I am a PhD student in the United States, studying modern Computer Science at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Though I come from India, I consider myself a 'citizen of the world'. I love to travel, meet new people, and explore amazing places in new cities. From adventurous hikes to exciting bars, I probably fit in all kinds of vibes. Whenever I am not heads down in research, I try to find time to step out in nature and embrace her beauty. A normal day for me generally consists of an early morning run/workout, cooking a spectacular meal, and enjoying a sport in the evening, which could generally range from tennis, badminton, or any other racket sport to swimming in the pool or even playing sand volleyball or soccer! I enjoy reading and listening to almost all kinds of music (it ranges from EDM to 70s rock! I love all music!) and watching incredibly directed shows and movies; I appreciate the art of good acting and filmmaking a lot! I've lived in Kansas City since spring 2024, and I have grown to fall in love with the city; my friends here make it home! Values: I value education and positivity above all! Seeking values like empathy and self-awareness in people has led me to the most incredible friends I've made in my journey through the world till now. I embrace open-minded personalities and spontaneity in people. I believe everyone brings in a new perspective, a new universe, and a new way to look at the world to us, and looking at things from a new perspective and understanding them has always fascinated me! Hosting and Being a Guest: I've not hosted anyone yet, since living as a student required my lifestyle to be minimal until now but I'm looking forward to welcoming friends lately (Starting Summer 2026). Expect incredible Indian food, travelling around cool spots in the city, Sunday morning hikes or an intense poker night. My friends and I have always enjoyed new company, so expect to meet with some crazy PhD geeks when you do end up coming over! Generally, when I travel, I try to be of service to anyone I've lived with; I am always up to help with household tasks or grabbing a beer on the weekends! If I show up with a car, expect me to be your chauffeur, as I love driving around listening to some good songs! Experiences: I've had some life-altering experiences every time I've couchsurfed, from meeting with the wisest and coolest people I've met to the most adventurous hikes! Though I officially started it in 2025, I call my visit to Norway in 2018 to be one of my first and most important travel experiences (truly life-changing!); ask me about it when we meet!
