I gave up a lucrative corporate career to get back to myself and simplify my life. Now I spend my time creating, going outdoors as much as possible, and visiting the people I care about.
We love the outdoors which is why we live in Arizona. There are lots of adventures to have in Northern Arizona. We love meeting new people and entertaining them. We like to bike, hike, run , water adventures, rock climb, play board games, take photos, and build stuff. I speak Hebrew as a second language and Rachel speaks some Spanish. I shoot photography (www.mshpics.com). Lately I am focused on flying airplanes. I also enjoy being a radio show host on 97.1 FM and I have a podcast: TheRingleaders. I would LOVE to interview you for about 20 minutes for both. (I have a small studio at the house). Rachel loves cooking, hiking, board games and catching rays. We love sharing our meals. But plan on eating some gluten and peanuts! We eat a mostly Biblical diet (see Levitcus 11). We have a private guest room with one queen bed and its own bathroom. and also a second guestroom with a shared bathroom. PHILOSOPHY Do unto others as you want them to do to you.
Hi! I’m a college student that loves to travel to exposure myself to different communities and cultures. I love meeting new people and overall spread love and joy around to everyone. My insta is amanda.0710 !!
CURRENT MISSION Peace, love and happiness....one couch at a time. ABOUT ME I am a happy citizen of the world. I enjoy meeting new people, travel, adventure and being outdoors. My wife Magda is from Poland so we try to spend a few months there, a few months traveling and 6 months home in Flagstaff working to fund our next adventure each year. PHILOSOPHY Be kind whenever possible.....it is always possible. My Couch Surfing philosophy is one of "personal responsibility". I think that surfing is mostly about fit between host and guest. People should seek hosts that fit them and hosts should seek the same.

CURRENT MISSION I'm looking forward to meeting new people! I also enjoy helping people experience all that northern Arizona has to offer! Flagstaff has a cold climate. My house is at 7,100 feet (2164 meters) above sea level. It can freeze between September 15 and June 15 (240 days a year, on average). It snows over 90 inches (2.3 meters) a year on average. It snowed 4 meters (163 inches) during the 2022-2023 winter. I can see an avalanche scar (January 1995) on Agassiz Peak from my house. I have seen it freeze (30F/-1C) and then reach 83F (28C) at my office in the same day (that is a cold spot)...and I've seen ice on my car every month of the year there. I do not have air conditioning in my house. Here is a link to the Flagstaff forecast: https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-111.67676030298747&lat=35.234937565737454 I don't host solo guys or a group of just guys. (As stated in my "My Home" section). I have worked with 15 to 20 guys for over 20 years, so I don't need any more "guy time." In general, please plan to arrive before 900 PM. My most recent "Surfer" pictures are at the bottom of the album. ABOUT ME I will no longer host people who smoke. If you smoke, please don't ask to stay with me. Cigarette butts ARE litter and littering in your hosts' front yard is not acceptable in any form or fashion. Please send a Couch Request and not a message if you want to surf my couch. I think it is easier for both of us that way. Please read the "My Home" section before you ask to stay with me. Please tell me about the other people that you are traveling with when you ask to stay with me. "Me and 3 friends..." is not enough information to give you a positive answer. I live in the Flagstaff area (over 26 years). I enjoy most outdoor activities and can give you advice on what to see in and around the Flagstaff area. I like to spend more time outside than inside, so my advice on the social scene in Flagstaff might be lacking. I rarely drink alcohol. Let me know if you do not eat meat as I cook meat (including wild game) from time to time. I "caught" a cow elk on October 11, 2024, so I have a lot of 100% organic free-range meat and know how to prepare many great tasting meals!
I love to new people, new places, new experiences
Hey my name is Annika, many people call me Nik! I live in my van full time, super new to the nomadic lifestyle and already enjoying the heck out of it!! I am really into making connections everywhere I go, hearing stories from strangers and sharing space with kind souls! My religion is loving awareness, and thrive on reciprocity.
We are a family of 5 (plus one dog and one cat) that enjoy being in nature and eating good food. I (Rachel) am the Deputy Executive Director for a local environmental conservation nonprofit. I am also currently working on my PhD studying an at-risk Arizona firefly. My husband Jay is also a scientist. We have three kids: Abigail (13) is a swimmer that is trying to learn Spanish. Tom (10) plays basketball and is learning Japanese. Adeline (5) does swim class and very much enjoys meeting new people.
Hello! I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina & grew up in Santiago, Chile. I love traveling , meeting new people & new cultures. I live in the mountains in Northern Arizona in the beautiful town of Flagstaff with my husband & two teenage sons. We have 3 cats & a dog. I Love hiking, biking, camping & dancing.
My entire profile (15 years worth) except my references somehow got wiped out inexplicably recently, so I am starting this profile from scratch. I joined CS in 2011 with the anticipation of quitting my job as a bench microbiologist and disappearing around the world to Southeast Asia to teach English. I prepared for 6 months, quit my job, sold everything I had, and jumped on a plane with a one-way ticket to Iceland. At some point in my travels, I met some Germans on a train in Africa, that ultimately led me to visit Munich, Germany. Here I liked it so much that I ditched plans to continue on to Asia, and a 2-day visit turned into 5 years (where I eventually became, once again, a microbiologist...go figure, haha!). I have been back in the US since 2017, and currently living and working in the Wild West of northern Arizona!
