It is kind of hard to find the words to describe myself that quickly! My name is Dana Martin, I am 27 years old (at the time I am writing that paragraph...) and I am from Rivière-du-Loup. Rivière-du-Loup is a little town in Bas-St-Laurent, which is a region situated in the North East of Quebec. In this place, the whole population speaks French and only French (even through English - or other languages - as a second language become more and more popular) and the sense of community is very big. I love my hometown. However, my family must be the biggest reason why I love Rivière-du-Loup so much, because they live there. I have the two best parents of the world, two brothers and one sister. Family is my number one value! I am a very curious and energetic person. I love to learn more about many topics, especially about other cultures, languages and pedagogy. To end this text, I would only say that I love to see life positively and to meet other people who do the same! :-)

I love punk / rock / metal, but on the other hand, I also adoooore reggaeton... I love to dance! For movies, I have to admit I don't have a TV at home. I prefer to be outside! Buuut, generally, I love movies that are philosophical or with some suspense. I also love to watch a movie after having read the book based on it.

I just cycled across Canada from Quebec to Vancouver for a total of 4,500 km during three months and a half (from July to October)! I wasn't a cyclist before doing this ; it was my first bike trip! It was a lifetime experience I had the chance to live with my best friend, Laurie! Then, from Vancouver, I came to Brasil to join my Mexican boyfriend that I met in my hometown in Quebec, Canada. Crazy what love can make you do, right? I'm really happy and excited to discover Brasil and also to learn Portuguese! I already love it!

I'm a fan of travelling since I learned so much about myself while doing this. I used to be a really shy person as a teenager, but now, I'm a completely different person! I've learned so much about everything I could do, and also from all the people I've met during my travels. It's life changing! I'm also kind of an hyperactive. I ADORE sports and try new stuff! It's my adrenaline and joy!
