I've been charged by a grizzly bear in Alaska.

I enjoy taking people around to see things around santa cruz. Sharing stories and perspectives on the world is one of my fav things. I can teach about California plants and animals, where to see them, etc. I can teach about early human skills, like making fire without matches, stone tools, etc.

I love to play and listen to music. I play percussion in a Cuban Son band, and I play bluegrass banjo. I love learning about everything. I love being outside in nature, camping, birdwatching, canoeing, etc. I love science and I teach at a local college. I'm interested in pretty much everything: languages, politics, economics, people, history. Having conversations with people from different places is one of my favorite things. I like playing sports, especially beach volleyball.
