I signed up, because a friend had told me about it, when I was preparing to go travel round the world for a year. The interactions with local people is what really drew me in. Couchsurfing has definitely made my travels a lot richer. People have told me about life in their area, showed me places I would have never thought of going, made me try things I would have never tried otherwise... In the end, the people is really what a place is all about. and it makes me experience traveling in a totally different way.

Too many to sum up. Basically anything that triggers emotion in me ;-) To give 1 example: The LOTR track "The Bridge of Kazhad Dum" at the point where the woman with the high voice starts to sing, gives me goosebumps every time!
